  • Doctoral Travel Grant

The Council's activities are accomplished through the cooperative efforts of the member universities by contributing human and material resources to inter-institutional projects that exceed the scope and capabilities of any one university.

The Travel Grants address the University Council's goal of promoting and supporting research of graduate students in the early years of their career. Each year the trustees of the Council will select up to 5 proposals for $300 per grant.

• Nominee must be a doctoral student in good standing at the nominating member institution.

• Documentation will be submitted showing the acceptance of a refereed presentation at an appropriate research conference.

• A committee of the Trustees will choose the awards from among the pool of nominations.

• Funds are to be used to pay expenses directly related to travel for the conference.
