Creating Asynchronous Audio PPT Lectures
with Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5

TO COMBINE AUDIO WITH PPT FOR FINAL .RM PRESENTATION

1. Open Adobe Premiere, when 'Load Project Settings' window pop up, under DV-NTSC, Choose 'Standard 48 kHz', Type project name and click OK.

2. Select File > Import > File
Note: We will use S1M3C4 as an example
a. Find the .wav files for each slide in S1M3C4 folder, select and import
b. Find the .jpg files for each slide in S1M3C4 folder, select and import

3. Drag and drop WAV file to 'Audio 4' track in Timeline window.

4. Drag Slide 1 to 'Video 3' track in Timeline window.


5. Match up slides and .wavs on the timeline
a. Play WAV file for Slide 1
b. Expand Slide 1 until the end of Slide 1 audio


c. Play WAV file and find the beginning of Slide 2. Then click on Razor Tool.
d. Cut the audio between Slide 1 and 2 that you do not need, Click and press delete.
e. Add Slide 2 (same as Step 4 above) and Select Arrow icon, click on audio 2 track and move to the end of audio 1

6. Repeat Step 5a-e until the last slide.
7. Click on Monitor window to see what it will look like.


*For first time user, before you export your file to rm format, please follow the instruction:
a. Click "Export" in the menu bar, then click "Adobe Media Encoder"
b. Select RealMedia, then click "Import Preset" icon
and choose System (C:) > Documents and Settings > Wangnai > UserPlaceholderPreset_Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and click Open
c. In "Choose Name" box, type: RM9 NTSC streaming HRE Online and click OK
d. In Comment box, select: RealMedia 9 broadband streaming NTSC
e. You can save rm file

8. Go to: File/Export/Advanced Media Encoder
9. Select optimum settings (as shown below)
a. This will create an .rm file
10. Find .rm file, open and view/listen
11. Move to helix server for your course
12. Create .ram pointer file and upload to publishing system
13. Test within course
